How much would it cost at a salon?

I realllllllly want to get my hair redyed at a salon, and im trying to convince my mom. My hair has faded, and i dont want to box dye it again. How much would it cost to get a base color, like a dark blonde at a salon? Then i would just put highlights on my own after, like the revlon kind. How much would it cost at a salon?
it depends on what color your hair is now. if you've been using drug store dye of a dark color, then to color it blonde will be a corrective color that will cost way more. the cheapest solution would be to go at least one level deeper than the color you are at now. this could cost anywhere from $60 to $300 depending on what salon you go to. try a hair school, usually much cheaper. How much would it cost at a salon?
It all depends on where you live and where you go.

For example, in my area the prices for doing that at two of the nicer salons is around $45 - $100 depending on what needs to be done.

I suggest you look up the websites of some of the salons in your area and find their estimated prices online. Most websites will have them listed under services.

I do think that it is a smart idea to get your hair done at a salon, however. Even though it may be more expensive, I think you will be far more satisfied. Many of my friends dye their hair, and I think they would all agree with me on this.

Would you mind answering my question?

It depends on where you go really. Places that are in malls or walmarts are cheaper, but know you are getting what you pay for. I'd call around some local salons and compare prices. Just tell them what you're wanting and they should be able to tell you how much. You should get them to do all of your color. Box color and salon color are VERY different and sometimes they can create a mess ! I'd be careful.
