Can I sue a salon for destroying my hair?

I went to a salon about 6 months ago to get a perm. Not only did the perm not turn out but my hair was completely dead. Over the months I have lost large amounts of hair and breakage. They did not make me pay for the perm and offered to do free treatments. Being as mad as I was, I did the treatments at other salons. The treatments did not help my hair at all. Can I sue the hair salon that did this to my hair, and if so, does anyone know a lawyer I could go to for help with this?

Thank You

Hmmm if u didnt plan on getting ur hair destroyed i guess u could sue them. Can I sue a salon for destroying my hair?
A few issues to deal with here.

First, a perm will ALWAYS make your hiar dryer and more damaged.

Breakage can be caused by a two things - the technique of the hairdresser, or hair that is already in poor condition before the chemical process.

Was you hair long (below shoulder length) before the perm? Did it have ANY colour in it, even from months ago? Do you use professional shampoo and conditioner? Are you on any serious medication? All of these factors can effect the outcome of your perm. A good hairdresser will establish all the relevant facts before performing a chemical service, but it is ultimately your responsibility to disclose such information.

If the hairdresser's winding technique or the length of processing is to blame, you might have a case. However, the salon did not charge you and offered to address the problem and you chose not to take it up. I'd say you are best to walk away.
I work in a lawfirm and unfortunately I don't think that you would win if you take this to court. The salon could simply use the justification that they warn customers before getting a perm that it is very damaging. If you research it online, they tell you the only people that should get a perm are those with very healthy hair that has not been processed or colored in I think its like a 3 year period of time. AND for the fact that they offered to do treatments and you refused to have them done by them, I don't think you would have a chance.
Is that really going to help anything? It's not going to make your hair grow any faster, and it's just going to make you look like a vain ***** and you probably won't win so it'll be a waste of time.

Just focus on getting your hair back and NEVER go back there again, I understand how you feel I would be VERY upset but suing isn't going to solve anything.
I guess you could but it would be a b i t c h y thing to do. They didn't mean to, you probably wouldn't win, and it would be a waste of time. Just don't go to that salon ever again.

Sorry about your hair by the way :(
uhh....I think you can sue them for destroying your hair...evil yeah i know....but i don't think you'll get alot of attention in a while.it will take some time.
You could do so but I am trying to figure out how you can directly accuse that specific salon.
did u take pictures of the hair in clumps if u have some evidence u probably just take it to the peoples court u really dont need a lawyer
umm do some research next time before you get it done. You probably shouldnt sue the salon
Doubtful.
im not shure but you shuld do a little research .

um you could. but why but a lot of time and effort when your hair can change back in a while
yes I guess you could
