I got my hair dyed brown at an Aveda salon, but the dye smelled like drugstore dye. Was I boondoggled?

I live in Seoul, Korea and found this salon specifically because it was an Aveda salon. But as she put the dye on my hair I could smell it and I double checked with her to make sure it was Aveda color and she said yes. I think she lied to me! Aveda dye shouldn't smell like drugstore dye, should it? I know what drugstore dye smells like, but I have never used Aveda color before.I got my hair dyed brown at an Aveda salon, but the dye smelled like drugstore dye. Was I boondoggled?
