I idolize Marilyn Monroe, but need help. Does anybody know how to get her hairstyle without oing to a salon?

Or the one Christina Aguilera has in the beginning of her video?I idolize Marilyn Monroe, but need help. Does anybody know how to get her hairstyle without oing to a salon?
i would suggest going to the salon because since her hair was bleached it is better if you get it colored like that at salon. if you bleach it yourself there's a good chance you won't get the right color or you could possibly cause your hair to break from the peroxide.I idolize Marilyn Monroe, but need help. I found several on the Internet. Some of the photos came from some strange sites, wigs and such, but I'm putting them in your email.

OOPS! No way to send attachments thru the Yahoo Answers email. I'll work on it.

P,S, I had a crush on her, way back when.
NO..stop being cheep and go to a salon,,that's if you want it to look good...
i realy think you should go to a salon!!
I love Marilyn too. I use to have a Marilyn style and it was blond to. Christina Aguilera's hair really isn't cut like Marilyns hair, but I get what you mean. You could have your hair layered, leave the top layers the longest and part to the side, hot rollers work really well for the look. The other Marilyn style is the bob that is parted to the side, hot rollers work well for that to or setting lotion and velcroe rollers work also.Oh,it is not finger waved and if you have the right cut ,you will not need allot of hair spray. You could find several pictures of Marilyn with her hair the way you like it and take it to a salon and have it done once. If you already have your hair blond,it will look more Marilynish too.
First, do an internet search and find out how her hair was cut. Print it out. Go to a salon and get it cut like that. Ask the person cutting your hair for advise about color and suggested style- and listen to them. They are professionals. Get some hot rollers (hot curlers.) Then come back to the internet and look at (www)fiftiesweb(dot) com under ';hairstyles of the 50s.'; It will inspire you, and cost you one haircut and some hot curlers.
if you're gonna go that light -- you better go to a reputable hairstylist -- 'cause it is 'dangerous' to go that light if you don't know what you're doing.
I tried it once. You will need a lot of hairspray. Much better to go to a salon, sorry.
use hot rollers
You could try finger-weaves...

I think you have to register to use this site but I'm not sure. It shows several Marilyn Hairstyles though so good luck.
